Direct Association

DIRECT Association was created in 2009 in Bucharest, Romania, to support social, educational and cultural activities, encouraging the transnational circulation of artistic and cultural works, and enhance the intercultural dialogue.
Promoting Europe’s common values and history, fostering a sense of ownership of the EU among its citizens, and developing ideas and activities in a European context, DIRECT Association supports education and training for all age groups, through co-operation and work with Centre for Trainings, funding programmes such as the Lifelong Learning Programme. With a view to encouraging lifelong learning, the DIRECT Association promotes citizens’ mobility, runs joint study programmes and establishes networks, enabling them to become more active in the democratic life of their community.
